We started our landscaping movement with the idea that, even though we had big boots to fill, knowing we would be going up against some high level competition in Abilene, TX, but besides our obvious size and funding disadvantages, I wasn't going to just plan on being just another lawn boy or mow n go landscaper. I've always had man appreciation for nicer things, I grew up on golf courses and spent the majority of my youth walking around on bent grass and Bermudas. My friends lived around the courses as well and so as you might expect, landscaping was a norm. To tell on myself a little I'm a little mental in that I'm also a perfectionist to an slightly unhealthy degree at times. Good for clients not always so much for me but it works. I chose landscaping as my final endeavor career, till death do i part, not because i love the scorching heat, nor the blistering cold winter wind. It started out more ego driven more than anything. My standards were high because I wasn't trying to be seen as the basic lawn care maintenance guy, I was more than your average lawn boy. From that decision, and that attitude, Trimmers Professional Landscaping was born. The rest is simply me living up to my own self made egotistical idea of who I wanted to be in landscaping. Although many of the things I find myself involved with in landscaping were never in the original consideration for where i had plans to go with this, the journey from there to here taught me more about me than i ever thought i had coming as a side benefit.

First, we start by answering the phone when your call comes in because your interest in our services is extremely important to our success, and we value every opportunity. In the event we are tied up on a project, our phones are with us and we can return a missed call in the field. We respect your time, so we show up on time. One of the most interesting phenomena I first noticed happening when I became an independent landscaper was the high number of landscaping people that made appointments but never showed up to meet with customers. We value everything about our customers opportunity to do business with us. Every call and every meet and greet is unique and furthermore, we enjoy getting to know our customers, our work is personal and so we consider this stage in the process more critical than receiving the final payment for our services. We are people people and getting to know our clients paves the way for better communications and aids in building trust. It's important that we show our new customers that we're genuinely concerned about their landscaping needs, because this personal touch is often lost or non existent when dealing with less personal big landscape companies that send their employees out who are mainly concerned with getting done and moving on to the next job.
