How We Got Our Start In Landscaping
Truth be told, I get asked often, why I choose to go into landscaping, because most folks know me from jobs I've had in the Automotive sales space, Finance, Investing, and Hospitality industry. This background certainly sets the stage for a great education in providing excellent customers service skills. My Landscaping training however, came from Abilene's Finest Arborist, Irrigation Installers, Chemical Applicators, Master Gardeners, and Lawn Maintenance at Abilene Christian College, ACU, some 15 years ago. Back then, the head of these departments is now the CEO for Master Scapes. To say I trained for years from the best around Abilene is an understatement. From there many trial and error lessons taught me the value of choosing to build things right the first time and cutting corners never saves time or money in the long run. I've since invested a whole lot of training in outdoor landscape construction priciples and trial and error to bring me current with what I've found to be the best tried and true methods and materials to provide my customers. oh yes, and its been practice, repetition, repetition , repetition , and more training. Certified training and education on Agri-life Texas A&M extension website has educated me in areas dealing with weed control and ornamentals as well as providing a solid go to reference place to source new technologies being worked on and best practice reference in our local area. Couple all that with an upbringing in hospitality hotel operations and you get an innate need to please customers always.. I love building the best landscapes and feeling proud about the quality work I do. I want our name on lasting builds for many years to come.
